Seequent and acQuire introduce Smart Refresh to Leapfrog Geo 4.3

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ – 31 July, 2018Seequent, a developer of data visualisation software and collaborative technologies including 3D geological modelling software Leapfrog®, and acQuire, a Geoscientific Information Management (GIM) software provider, today announced the introduction of ‘Smart Refresh’ functionality to Leapfrog Geo’s latest release, Leapfrog Geo 4.3.

Smart Refresh greatly improves the speed of updating datasets in Leapfrog Geo by obtaining the latest drilling data from the GIM Suite database without the need to reload entire contents. This ensures users of Leapfrog Geo 4.3 and GIM Suite database can quickly rely on the most up to date data, further reducing risk in decision making.

Seequent’s General Manager – Mining and Minerals, Nick Fogarty, says: “Working with outdated data presents a considerable business risk, Leapfrog Geo’s dynamic updating feature has helped to ensure users can quickly make the most of the latest data. Now in collaboration with acQuire we’re able to introduce the Smart Refresh feature to significantly improve the existing workflow.”

Smart Refresh, provided by acQuire’s API acQuireDirect, is implemented in Leapfrog Geo offering a quick and easy way to incorporate changes and additions to geoscientific data. Smart Refresh only updates drillholes or point samples changed in GIM Suite since the last time a dataset was extracted, rather than the entire dataset. With this, users have a more efficient way of working with their data between the two solutions.

Steve Mundell, Director of Product, acQuire, says: “We love to work with complementary technologies for the benefit of a greater customer experience and part of that experience is users performing analysis and interpretation having the most up-to-date data. Our commitment to software connectivity helps users leverage their data at any stage of the data lifecycle.”

Nick Fogarty adds, “By working together we have a seamless solution that greatly benefits our users. Seequent and acQuire have a joint commitment to making workflows more efficient and a shared philosophy that solutions should complement workflows and not create barriers. Our strategy of partnering with like-minded innovators provides valuable integration that delivers the best possible solution.”
