A major Canadian mining company was managing two separate GIM Suite databases; one for exploration and oneĀ for the different mines in production. There were application packages in use that needed to pull data from bothĀ sources but needed to do so from one database source and not two.Ā This mine approached ERM to discuss if this was possible and the best way to approach if so.
An initial audit of the two databases was conducted before the merger of the two databases.Ā This presentation will discuss people involved, the highs and lows, frustrations, lessons learnt and euphoricĀ moments during the year long process.
